Born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June 28, 1986 Pickler experienced a turbulent childhood. As a young girl Her mother left to avoid an abusive situation. Pickler was reunited with the mother she had left in 1995 after she was appointed the custodian. It was, however, not a good experience. Pickler was reunited with her grandparents when she turned 12. Her grandparents brought them through adulthood. In the absence of the parents of her, Pickler got too involved in being a parent to her siblings. She said that because she didn't have time for studying, she began learning how to cook and clean at an early stage. Pickler was on her high school's and middle school's cheerleading squad.
